Get Lower Golf Scores Via Putting Distance Control
by Walt Ballenberger
Most average golfers have difficulty improving their golf scores on a consistent basis. They might practice a bit between rounds, but that practice is usually rather haphazard and is not well planned. 90% of average golfers can shoot consistently better scores, however, and the way to do this is to improve putting.
Even if you did not hit one green in regulation but rather hit every green in regulation plus one stroke, in other words you hit par three greens in two strokes, par four greens in three strokes, and par five greens in four strokes, you could still shoot 90 if you had no three putts. And even if you had a couple of three putts, chances are you can get up and down once or twice or even manage to hit a green or two in regulation.
Having only one or two 3-putts in a round is not easy to accomplish, but the best way to approach this problem is to improve your distance control. There is a little practice putting game called Safety Drawback, invented by the famous short game expert, Dave Pelz, which can help you improve your distance control.
This article does not concentrate on alignment, but you should try to attain the best putter alignment you can. Suffice it to say that if Tiger Woods needs to put a line on his ball and use that to point at his target, then this practice will probably help you as well.
Dave Pelz proved that the optimum force to hit is putt is 17 inches beyond a hole. He showed that more putts will go into the hole if hit with this speed. So please take this as a given. The object of Safety Drawback is to hit your putt past the hole but have the ball come to rest in a semicircle that is within three feet beyond the hole. You will imagine a semicircle rather than a full circle because your goal is to hit the ball at least to the hole and not leave it short. A three foot semicircle beyond the hole is easy to visualize because the average putter shaft is 35 inches in length.
If you get into the 3 foot semicircle past the hole, you can now putt the ball in from there without moving it. On most occasions your score should be a two. If you are not in the 3 foot semicircle area past the hole, you must move your ball three feet farther from the hole in a radial fashion. So if you were five feet past the hole on our first putt, your second putt will be from 8 feet. If you are in the imaginary circle beyond the hole after your second putt, you can putt the ball in from there without moving it and your score will be three. If not you must move the ball another 3 feet from the hole radially and try again. After this point all putts must be moved back three feet farther from the hole as described. The maximum score on a hole is five, except the last hole where there is no limit. Play this game for at least nine holes.
Playing this game with a friend will add a little competition to the exercise and usually makes golfers concentrate more on their distance control and get more out of the game.

Make More Putts With Good Alignment
by Walt Ballenberger
Every average golfer knows that the best chance to improve his or her average score is to cut strokes using the club in the bag that is used most often, the putter. A small number of average golfers are excellent putters and should spend their practice time on ball striking, but for the overwhelming majority there are opportunities to cut strokes by improving putting.
If you have ever placed a club down after having aligned a putt or another shot and noticed that your feet were pointing well away from the target, you know that very few people can accurately line up golf shots just using eyesight alone. Pros are naturally better at this than average players, but even many of them cannot get alignment correct just using visual means.
When putting misalignment occurs the brain and body combine to try to compensate, and this is done subconsciously. So if you are not aligned properly on your putts, you are probably hitting the ball with a putter face that is open or closed just a bit without realizing it, and you are also probably not hitting the ball on the putter sweet spot which is on the club face just in front of the center of gravity of the club head. Hitting the ball on the sweet spot is one of the most important factors in making putts, according to Dave Pelz, the short game expert who is often hired by touring professionals to help them with their putting. In fact, he claims that from a distance of 8 feet, 95% of putts will miss the hole if hit more than on an inch from the sweet spot of the putter.
Is there a solution for the average golfer, who is the player who typically averages about 100 strokes per round? The best and most simple solution is to draw a line on your golf ball, and point that line to the target you are aiming for. If you don't understand how to accomplish this, just watch Tiger Woods or other top pros. If this technique helps him, it is probably a good idea for you as well. At this point line your body up using the line on the ball, and swing the putter along that line.
Golfers should also realize that even more significant than alignment in avoiding three putt greens is distance control. Dave Pelz has proven that the proper speed to his a putt is a force that will make the ball stop 17 inches past the hole. This applies to any lie on any green. More putts will go in with that speed than any other. If your putt is longer than 30 feet, just try to die the ball at the hole. Even top pros don't make many 30 foot putts, and you won't either.

Nike Golf Shoes
by Owen Jones
Nike golf shoes are one of the things you can use to improve your game. If you have only played golf in casual footwear so far, or if you're just looking for a way to improve your general game, investing in a good pair of golf shoes can make a large difference. Just like in other sports, the shoes you wear can seriously affect your performance.
As you have to develop a smooth swing and be able to follow through on that swing in golf, all without losing any control of the strength in your stroke, your golf shoes can help or hinder your game for you. Nike golf shoes are designed to help you balance, gripping the turf as much as needed yet allowing you to put full strength and control behind each and every swing.
As these golf shoes have special compartments in the heels, every step is easier to make. They offer the level of support your feet, legs and knees require in order to play golf very comfortably over long periods of time.
Since golf usually involves lots of walking, Nike golf shoes have been constructed as a hybrid of walking shoe and golf shoe. They cushion the joints of your legs and knees against impact with each step you take, allowing you to concentrate your strength and effort on your game of golf, rather than on how you are going to get to the next hole or to wherever your ball landed.
When you go to buy Nike golf shoes, there are several things that you should bear in mind. The first thing you need to consider is what level of skill you have achieved. Golf, like many other sports, has gear that can be used by beginners or advanced professionals alike.
In many cases, beginners pick the Nike golf shoes suited for professionals, but rarely end up finding the full potential of the shoe, since they do not know how to get the most out of the shoes.
While professionals definitely can get fantastic advantage out of these Nike golf shoes, it is often better for amateurs to purchase entry level Nike golf shoes which would better suit their needs. The increase in power given to your stroke will often be wasted on those who are novices, as they do not yet possess the requisite skill to control the stroke as much as they would need to.
Therefore, it is best to buy Nike golf shoes that suit your skill level, as these shoes will have the comfort and functionality you need. You can purchase Nike golf shoes from a variety of sources. For those who want cheaper shoes and the same quality of professional shoes, you can buy last season's models from Nike outlet centers.
If you want only top of the line golf shoes, you can buy from online Nike stockists or through a number of online retail outlets (see below).

Is Golfing A Good Kind Of Exercise?
by Owen Jones
We all realize that we ought to exercise. Some individuals even like doing it, but unfortunately for society and most of us in it, the majority of us cannot be bothered to get off their backsides, which is why the populations of Western countries are turning to lard before our very eyes. This is a shame not just for the people involved but for the tax-payers who have to refill the public coffers in order to take care of them when they get sick.
So, how can we motivate ourselves to take more exercise? Clearly government health warnings are just benefiting marketing agencies and the media, so what else? Maybe, they could tell us: 'Play tennis once a week, you will enjoy that vodka a whole lot more afterwards!.' Or 'Play a round of golf first and that G&T will taste better!' Or: 'Walk a mile to the pub, have a pint, walk back and have another one, you will need it!' The puritanical way certainly has not worked, so why not give realism a shot?
I mentioned golf there more or less by accident, but it strikes me that going for a game of golf and having a drink with your friends later is a whole lot better than watching it on TV with a can. It is not merely the walking either, which most of us do not do enough of anyway, but it is the actions connected with hitting the ball - the swing and hand-eye coordination as well. And the social life afterwards, and loads of people miss out on a social life especially after retirement or the death of a spouse.
Now golf may not seem to you to be an interesting sport and I understand that point of view completely, but that is because it is not until you realize how hard it is to hit that ball hundreds of yards onto the green that most people can grasp the difficulty of playing the game well. That might be true of most sports, but golf does look so leisurely, does it not?
One of the good things about golf is that you can play with people of comparable ability to yourself so that you do not feel self-conscious or 'out of place.' If you join a ramblers' club after 30 years of watching TV, you will soon feel old and past it, but golf is different, because there is no pace, no hurry, you can take as long as you like, you can let people 'play through' (go on before you) and you can call it a day and retire to the club house whenever you want.
Lots of retired people take up golf, especially if they were used to being active at work, but it is also a hobby, that you can take up if you feel that you are not doing enough at any age. It is surprising how much a little bit of extra exertion can help stave off stiff limbs and flabbiness.

Chipping Tips – Common Mistakes You Can Avoid
by Michelle Janson
Most chipping tips will tell you that there are two things to pay great attention to: your alignment and posture and your weight distribution. Your position should best be further away from the ball and not right on top of it. Your eyes will not be above the ball while chipping. To check whether you are standing far enough do this little test:
Grip the club – right hand holding the lower inside; left hand gripping the top of the club hands just touching.
Set up the ball as if you are taking the shot and then take off your right hand off the club and let it dangle. Swing the right hand just under the left hand as it is still grasping the club in a shot position.
If you find your right hand hitting the left hand, move away from the ball a little further. Your right hand should be able to move freely between the left hand (holding the club in a shot position) and your body.
Weight Distribution is Very Important
Most chipping tips will explain that this one of the most important aspects you need to pay attention to for a good chip shot. The chipping shot is meant to get the ball roll as fast it possible. This is why an 8 iron or 9 iron is normally used for this shot, which very much resembles the full swing. You need to aim that the ball shots into the air for about one third of the distance and rolls for the rest two-thirds.
To get this accomplished, you need to cut off almost totally the lower body movement. Get your weight fully on the left side while you are taking the chipping shot. As you will learn from the best chipping tips, this will ensure that your body does not shift back and forth and hence you get the best shot.
Get to control distance
Your aim is to control distance, so you would be able to land the ball at that 1/3rd of the distance. No matter how many chipping tips you will read, you would still need hands-on practice before you are any good on the green. You do not need a golf course to improve your chipping shot. Get on in your backyard, set us a target (as the edge of the green) and start with practicing to hit from about 3 feet away. You know you are good when you hit the target right on its head 5 consecutive times. When you do it, you have conquered that distance; move back 1-2 feet and start again.
Remember practice beats the best of chipping tips for you learn it the hard way.

by Tom Gates
Golf is an all-weather game; it is more enjoyable when the game is played in a good weather. Good weather with some sunshine and a gentle breeze will help to cheer the players. However, there are times when the weather is not favourable. This unfavourable weather does not mean that playing golf should be forgone. Sometimes, the weather might be favourable at the beginning of the game and suddenly it changes. When you find yourself in situations like this, don't fret; as long as you have made the necessary preparations, you can still play golf even though it is rainning.
Playing golf even though it rains
As long as you have the right equipment, you do not need to worry about the rain disrupting your game. It is good to have the necessary equipment in your car, so you can call upon them whenever the need arises. Playing golf in the rain is not difficult, with equipment like the custom golf umbrella, waterproof suit, towels, waterproof gloves, a hat, and a waterproof hood at hand, you can continue with your game. As long as you have this equipment ready, you wouldn't have to stop your game when it begins to rain.
Besides the equipment, there are other couple of things that can go wrong when playing golf in the rain. These include the possibility of losing sight of the ball and the chances of stepping into a pool of water. The conditions that this situation present make it tough to play golf in the rain. However, with the right tricks you can have a satisfying game.
The velocity at which the balls will travel will reduce as a result of the rain. The clubs can also slip off during an attempt to add more force to the swing. It is necessary that the grip to the clubs is firm; this will help avoid the club flying off when the swing is made.
The trajectory should also be put into consideration when playing in the rain. A trajectory higher than the norm will be required to play under this condition. You will have to ensure that you aim a little more accurately than you usually do when it is not raining.
Irrespective of the rain, the golf game can still be enjoyable and fun. All you need is a combination of the right attitude and right equipment. If you are moody and sad about the rain, you can as well sit back and forget about the game. A custom golf umbrella with your choice of colours and modifications can make the game colourful irrespective of the weather. These custom golf umbrellas also make good gift items.

Three Tips For Choosing The Right Beginner Golf Equipment
by Lorene Rice
When you first start golfing, it can be easy to become overwhelmed by the abundance of available golf equipment. While there are many things advertised as perfect for beginning golfers, many fall short of being ideally suited for beginners. Picking the right pieces of equipment that will help you build a solid foundation for your golf game will leave you better off than spending money on equipment that won't help you much with your game. A golf bag should be the first piece of golf equipment that you invest in. Golf bags, while not cheap, are a worthy investment especially if you intend to play the game for a long time. This is the one piece of equipment that carries around all the others. You'll need to keep a few things in mind when comparing brands, styles, and prices. The first thing to keep in mind is the bag should be comfortable to carry. Next, if you don't want to rent a cart or hire a caddy every time you play, you should consider getting a bag with a built-in stand. The final thing to consider is the room the bag offers for carrying your important equipment and that it has room to grow. Strangely enough, a golf umbrella in actuality is a primary piece of golf equipment. It doesn't matter where you play, there can be sporadic storms. Whether you feel you need protection from a little rain or not, the odds are good that your equipment does. Golf clubs are not inexpensive assets. It is in your best interest to defend them in the greatest way you can. It doesn't matter what the shaft material is, the odds are in your favor that the club heads are not impervious to rust. An umbrella is a little investment that will remunerate you well the first time you discover yourself needing it. Finally, you'll want to acquire a ball marker. In fact, if you play golf with other individuals you want to recognize which ball is yours, in particular when the others you are playing with landed in a terrible place. Ball markers will benefit you in saving money as you can have less trouble spotting your ball from others however it will additionally aid you in maintaining a more true record of where your ball is landing. This lets you keep better accounts of how perfectly you're hitting the ball and which direction it has an affinity for going off course. It's best to start small when buying starter golf equipment. Then you can add more expensive pieces one at a time until you have the set you are confident will help you accomplish all your goals on the course and at the driving range. When To Buy A New Pair Of Golf Shoes
by Richard G. Hart
Golf shoes are a critical part of any golfer's game. Whether you are chipping in a shot 12 yards out on the edge of the bunker to save par. You may be straight out from the tee box having to drive 178 yards to the green on a par 3 looking to land the ball a few feet from the pin for an easy birdie. If you have a terrible pair of golf shoes that gives no traction and you slip after every shot altering your follow through, you are not maximizing and getting the best from every swing.
I try to let people know all the time you will never be able to buy a +5 handicap, but you can utilize every tool in your arsenal to better the odds. Remember also, golf is a psyche game, the last thing you need is the thoughts of knowing you are going to slip, or hoping you are not going to slip after the swing running through your conscious. At the bare minimum golfers can upgrade the spikes roughly every six months to a year to give the traction necessary to be dominant every time you touch a club.
The shoes might need more than just a spike upgrade; you may be looking to purchase a pair of new shoes. I can see this if your uppers are getting worn out, the color is fading, the shoes are beyond simple repair, and if you experience any of this I suggest shopping around and finding a suitable pair of shoes for you.
Shopping for golf shoes can be such a hassle, if you are happy with what you currently have and you just need a new model, I say go for it. There is nothing like buying a pair of golf shoes and being dissatisfied with your purchase, so it is almost beneficial to stick to the ones you already have. There are many websites online where you can buy older types of shoes also, you can visit your local golf retail store and pick up a pair there.
Many people do find they want to change shoes after a while of having the same ones, and I do not blame you neither, we all could use a little change every once in a while. I suggest to consumers 9/10 times, A-Game Golf Shoes. They are very affordable compared to their competitors, and are crafted from all the same materials as Nike or Adidas. A-Game is also innovating new technologies available nowhere else on the market including Brisole Technology and swappable color swatch's for ladies.
The downfall is the company is still in its infancy and mistakes do happen. I have seen numerous counts of A-Game shipping the wrong shoes in the correctly labeled box. One time a lady ordered a size 8 1/2 ladies omega golf shoes and the retailer shipped them, for her to only receive a pair of size 7's with size 8 1/2 labels. The company reimbursed the lady and sent out a brand new pair of shoes right away for no extra charge, it was, however, a huge inconvenience for all parties involved.
The A-Game Golf Shoes are still a great product with slashed, discount priced golf shoes. There are also other great shoes available that are low on the radar but still offer great prices and quality products.

Understanding Golf Basics- Improve Your Scores Today
As anyone who has ever tried their hand at the game of golf can inform you, it can be incredibly time consuming and often discouraging, even when it comes to just comprehending the golf fundamentals. While lots of people think of golf as merely hitting a little ball into a hole, the fact of the matter is that golf is actually quite a complex sport, and there are a lot of little facets of the game that can amount to have a substantial effect on how well you play, and how low of a score you are able to consistently get.
Actually, when it comes to golf fundamentals, consistency is the key word, as you'll never have any hope of improving your game without having the ability to carry out all of the different aspects of the game identically, every single time. Whether it is driving, chipping, or putting, it's all about finding out the fundamental techniques and concentrating on performing these techniques identically every time you step on the course.

One of the reasons why golf can be such a complex and frustrating sport is that there are many individual aspects that work together to determine how effectively you can swing the club. Obviously, the strength and power of your arms will be a significant factor in just how far you can hit the ball, but these are far from the only essential aspects. Just as important as strength is the way you stand, your posture, how flexible you are, and how well you can focus on simply making contact with the ball, instead of watching to see which direction and how far it flies when you hit it with your club.
For that reason, you should see to it that you concentrate on all of the golf fundamentals at once, as developing the perfect golf swing depends on the right mix of every one of these different aspects.
Golf Fundamentals- Lessons and Training Aids
Each professional golfer has gotten to where they are with a combination of some natural talent combined with years of practice and training. With today's planned lifestyle communities, golf and boating enthusiasts have an opportunity to purchase the home of their dreams just a chip shot away from the green or stone's throw from the marina. In addition to an ideal home setting, golf and waterfront community residents enjoy an active and diversified lifestyle experience complete with first-class golf courses, marinas, beaches, spas, clubhouses, recreation areas, fine dining and countless other amenities.
Out of the 10,000 master planned communities across the United States, over 2,500 are built around golf courses and pristine waterfront property. Making sense of all the options can be mind boggling. If you are thinking about relocating to one of these golf and waterfront communities, it is imperative to be able to distinguish one community from the next and more importantly, know what to look for before you buy.Â
In the past, golf and waterfront master planned communities catered to distinct segments of the housing market, namely middle to upper income empty nesters and retirees. Things have changed. Today, golf course and waterfront developments are designed to accommodate budgets of all levels and generally fall into one of two categories: multi-generational and age restricted.
The construction of multi-generational communities represents a recent trend in planned community home building. The underlying idea is to attract a diverse population of families including retirees and young professionals of varying income levels and backgrounds in order to establish a robust and vibrant community. After decades of building age restricted communities, builders and developers have recognized that the traditional elements of planned community living such as security, on-site amenities and low maintenance housing appeal to home buyers of all ages.
Most new communities are multi-generational developments. Vistancia situated in the beautiful Sonoran desert outside of Peoria, Arizona is a recently opened golf community attracting individuals and families of all ages. Since home sales began in March 2004, almost 500 families have moved into this scenic development with 1,700 total acres of open space and a 900-acre mountain preserve.
Conversely, age restricted planned communities are developed for the +55 home owner with amenities and facilities for today's discerning empty nester and retiree. Typically, the age restriction requires one household resident to be at least 55 in order to qualify for home ownership. Over the last decade, an evolution has occurred with the age restricted community model of yesteryear making way for contemporary activity based developments complete with lavish amenities and world-class recreation areas, not to mention the conventional facilities required by the +55 demographic.
The undisputed leader in age restricted master planned community development is Del Webb. Since the 1960s, Del Webb has constructed numerous age restricted golf and waterfront communities across the United States. Del Webb's Sun City developments are arguably the most recognizable line of age restricted communities stretching from coast to coast with Sun City Hilton Head in North Carolina and Sun City Lincoln Hill in California.
The most important criterion in selecting a traditional home is location and the same is true when deciding on a golf and waterfront community. The old adage â€Å“location, location, location†aside, one has to consider whether the new property will serve as a primary residence, second home getaway or retirement abode. The final location decision is generally based on three primary factors: home use, surrounding area and local weather.
For most of us working folk, our primary residence is located within an hour or so of a major metropolitan center. Don't fret, there are hundreds of golf and waterfront communities centrally located within driving distance from most major metropolitan areas. If by chance you live near Dallas, you have several options to choose from including Stonebridge Ranch in north Dallas and Black Horse Ranch which is only 25 minutes from downtown. Washington D.C. commuters are also in luck with conveniently located golf and waterfront communities in Virginia, Maryland and Delaware. Belmont Country Club, a Toll Brothers property, is a mere 40 minutes from Washington D.C. in Ashburn, Virginia. These examples represent only a fraction of the actual number of suburban golf and waterfront developments.
The location decision is a bit more complicated and not as clear cut when one considers purchasing a second home retreat or retirement residence. In this situation, other factors come in to play such as the activity and cultural richness of the immediate area and of course, local weather. If you are looking for a second home, would you like to be nestled in the woods away from the hustle and bustle of the city, located in a more suburban area or some in between?
Climate is also an integral factor to take into consideration when purchasing a home particularly if you are feeling abused by recent harsh winters. This may clearly point to a direction that takes you out of your home state or even to another part of the country. Conversely, the summer's never ending heat may drive you to consider the cooler climates up north. Fortunately, there are 2,500 golf and waterfront communities spread out across the United States from Minnesota to Texas and California to Massachusetts.
What is clear in the case of retirement homes is that good local health care and transportation facilities are a must. For most retirees, living over 60 miles away from the closest hospital or airport is just not an option. In the end, it comes down to striking a balance between modern necessities and the beauty of the great outdoors.
Once you have settled on a geographic location, the next area to focus on is amenities. These can vary greatly from one golf and waterfront development to the next. Typically, these expanded ‘goodies' fall into two categories: conveniences and lifestyle enhancements. Conveniences include such things as security services, home maintenance, gardening services, concierge service, on-site retail and office space, cable television and high-speed Internet.
Lifestyle enhancements relate to recreation activities and rest and relaxation befitting an enhanced life of leisure. One can find a mix of facilities at planned communities which support numerous activities like tennis, hunting, boating, skiing, and hiking. To balance the rigors of recreation, planned communities provide residents with rest and relaxation amenities such as spas, clubhouses, wilderness preserves, pools, beaches and fine dining.
With real estate opportunities for every budget, isn't it about time you looked into moving to a golf and waterfront community that offers unbelievable vistas, year round activities, low maintenance living and first-class amenities?

Beginner Golf - If You Want To Learn Golf You Must Learn The Lingo!
by Luke Anton
Beginner Golf – Become Fluent in the Language of Golf
Beginner golf players must realize that there is much more to playing the game of golf than simply hitting a little white ball into a cup. Golf truly is a game that requires its participants to be both physically and mentally engaged. Golf is no different from any other discipline in that it is associated with terminology that is unique to itself. Beginner golf players must become aware of this and take the steps necessary to become fluent in this new language if they wish to progress as a golfer.
It will be far easier for a beginner golf player to acquire new golf skills if they have taken the time to develop their golf vocabulary. When studying golf, whether it is through video, books, or magazines, a beginner golf player can easily get lost in a sea of new terms. However, you can end your frustration by compiling a glossary of golf terms. Keeping a glossary next to you as you study will enhance your learning by helping you form a clear understanding of what the author is trying to get across to you.
Beginner Golf – Scoring Even Requires Golf Vocabulary
One area of golf vocabulary that requires special attention is that of scoring. There are a few special words that are used describe a golf player’s performance on a hole. A beginner golf player that realizes this will find it much easier to understand scoring. When scoring a golf game the term “par” is talking about the number of strokes it should take a golfer to go from the tee to the cup. Every other scoring term is related to par. The word “bogey” means one stroke over par; while double-bogey means that a hole was finished two strokes over par.
As time goes by and a beginner golf player’s skills increase the other scoring terms will begin to come in handy. If a golf player scores a birdie it means that they have come in one shot under par. Golfers like to score eagles even more than birdies. An eagle means that the golfer has come in at two strokes under par, but an albatross is even better as it indicates three under par!
Important Terms for the Beginner Golf Player to Know
As a Beginner golf player first starts out in their study of the game of golf there are a few indispensable golf terms that they must make themselves familiar with if they intend to grow as a golfer. For example, if you are studying methods to improve your golf swing you absolutely must know the difference between a clubhead and a club face. A clubhead is the part of the golf club that is attached to the shaft opposite from the grip. The clubface, on the other hand, is the part of the clubhead that connects with the golf ball during a swing. There are terms for every aspect of golf that the beginner golf player must learn.

Use Golf Carts For So Much More
by Jerry C. Sotto
When you think of golf carts, do you think of all the different uses for them? Even many professional sports teams, not only the PGA and LPGA, make use of them. When cities/towns have special events, you will notice that the people in charge use golf carts to get from place to place quickly.
The growth of private gated communities and resorts has resulted in the use of golf carts to get around instead of using the usual mode of transportation, the car. The members can use their golf cart to go to the stores in their area since these communities have wide enough paths rather than just sidewalks.
Other uses of golf carts are in the medical world. If you have ever visited a large medical campus you will find golf carts used to transport individuals between buildings and even within buildings.
If you own a tractor to pull a trailer, push snow and to dig, think about purchasing a utility golf cart for these same purposes. The savings by doing so just might surprise you.
As stated before, golf carts are becoming very popular in the new gated communities or senior citizen retirement communities because of their convenience and economy. Usually these communities have transportation available if you want to go long distances so you probably do not even need to own a regular car if you own a golf cart.
Golf carts can be very basic or you can trick them out with everything from door panels to air conditioning to leather seats. Your list of options is almost limitless. Custom golf carts are available at prices rivaling a new car.
When deciding to use a golf cart as your main form of transportation, it is wise to check your local and state requirements. You may be required to license the cart. You should also check to see if your automobile insurance policy or your homeowner's insurance policy will extend to cover your exposure.
If you are looking for a different way to get around, check into buying a golf cart and you might be surprised. Golf carts can be a great alternative to a car whether you are a golfer or not.

How To Golf - Learn Golf Skills That Will Catapult You To Victory!
by Luke Anton
How to Golf – All About Different Golf Shots
Once you choose to learn how to golf it is time to study! Those who are new to golf will have to familiarize themselves with proper golf stance, golf shots, and golf equipment. It might take a while to learn how to golf but you will be happy that you put the effort into it in the end.
As mentioned above, it is important for those learning how to golf to have an understanding of golf shots. The four most common golf shots are the draw, fade, hook, and slice. A shot is named based on how it flies through the air. The draw and fade are usually hit on purpose, while the hook and slice are usually the result of a miss shot.
If a right handed golf player hits with a draw their golf ball will fly through the air with a smooth graceful curve from right to left. It can look like the golf ball is going off course at first, but a properly hit draw shot will always curve back toward the target. A fade is very similar to a draw; the only difference is that a fade curves in the opposite direction. A hook makes a severe curve to the left and never comes back around to the direction of the target. The slice is similar to the hook; the only difference is that it too curves in the opposite direction. For a left handed golfer, the directions of the curves are reversed. People who are learning how to golf must learn about these shots and what causes them.
How to Golf – Surviving the Bunker!
As you practice how to golf you are guaranteed to land in the bunker. Bunker shots should be practiced just like any other golf shots. Remember that the condition of the sand greatly affects how the golf ball will react to the club. A golf ball that is being hit out of wet sand will have a far lower trajectory than one that is hit out of dry sand. Also keep in mind that more force must be used in order to free a golf ball from a bunker with wet sand. It is easier to achieve more lofts from a golf ball hit out of dry sand. A ball that is buried in the sand will require a different technique than one sitting on top of it. You must direct your swing at the sand behind the golf ball in order to scoop the ball up as you complete your swing.
How to Golf – Golf Skills Become Second Nature
When learning how to golf it is imperative that your body and mind are in sync with each other. Learning how to golf can be a bit overwhelming at times. Just remember, as you continually practice all aspects of the game of golf they will become second nature to you. In time golf will begin to feel more like fun than an exercise in concentration.

by Luke Anton

Golf is a game that is taken very seriously by its followers. Before beginners golf it is important that they make sure that they have the right clothes. Golf players must realize that almost every golf course has a very strict dress code that all players must abide by. If you show up for your round of golf inappropriately dressed you will be turned away. Most dress codes are pretty easy to follow. Collared shirts and Dockers-styled pants or shorts will meet most country clubs standards. When beginners golf they should always call ahead and ask about the dress code. With a little time, even the beginner will begin to get a feel for what types of clothing are appropriate for individual golf courses. There are very few items that a golf player cannot do without. Items like these are considered golf necessities. One simple necessity is a clean golf towel. Golf towels come in handy in many ways. A golfer can use a towel to dry their hands before making a shot in order to keep their club from slipping in their hand. A golf glove will give your hands a non-slip grip on the club. Finally, golf shoes are quite useful as beginners golf. Most courses don’t require them as a part of the dress code, but they will help the golfer with their swing by eliminating the slipping that sometimes occurs.

Each player should endeavor to leave the golf course in the same condition in which they found it, if not better. This includes raking their footprints out of the bunker, fixing divots in the tee box as well as on the fairway, and mending the green when their golf ball leaves a mark. As beginners golf they must keep these things in mind. If they do, every golf player that comes after them will be very grateful.
